Strand: Scripture, Israel and Jesus (SIJL9-10E3)

Levels 9 and 10

The Scriptures invite and enable people to come to an understanding of God and for some, their response may be a life lived in faith, love and service.

Discern and describe the connections between God's dream for the world as expressed in Scripture and the way Christians choose to live their Christian vocation.

Elaborations

A disciple of Jesus is one who looks to Jesus as model and guide and the work they do on a daily basis in the service of God can be referred to as ministry or Christian vocation. In faith, each individual has a calling or challenge to act and serve as a Christian disciple. By living justly and pursuing justice in all facets of their lives however, they run the risk of challenging the world. The many ways in which life can be lived justly centres on the recognition of the dignity of every person.
